Section 1: Mobile Wallet Accounts

What is Mobile Wallet?

The Mobile Wallet is a new, convenient and simple way to make payments and manage your cash without carrying anything more than your phone or a prepaid card. Now you can pay securely with prepaid funds directly from your Boost Mobile Android smartphone using the free Mobile Wallet app or a prepaid card anywhere that Visa is accepted nationwide—or both.

Who can open a Mobile Wallet account?

Boost Mobile wireless subscribers with a Boost Mobile Android smartphone.

How is Mobile Wallet different than Mobile Wallet Plus?

Before we talk differences, look at how they're the same. Both Mobile Wallet and Mobile Wallet Plus allow you to control the cash funds in your account with the Mobile Wallet app which includes:

  • Send Money with Ria: Send money instantly for pickup in more than 135 countries with Ria Financial Services
  • Bill Pay: Pay bills directly from your phone
  • Re-Boost your Boost Mobile phone. You can also top-up a friend or family member's domestic or international wireless account.
  • View your available balance and transaction history
  • Instantly load prepaid cash to your account at thousands of convenient locations

Mobile Wallet Plus is a free upgrade that includes all the perks of Mobile Wallet, plus the following premium services:

  • Reloadable Visa Prepaid card: A personalized, reloadable prepaid card linked to your Mobile Wallet account that you can use anywhere Visa is accepted nationwide
  • Higher limits: Load more and spend more
  • Wipit Account Transfers: Send up to $500 per transfer to other Mobile Wallet Plus accounts instantly

Upgrading to Mobile Wallet Plus is completely free, but does require us to verify your account and social security information in order to protect you.

Are there any fees with a Mobile Wallet account or the single-load Visa Prepaid card?

Mobile Wallet accounts and the single-load Visa Prepaid card have minimal fees attached. See a simple summary of fees and costs in the What it Costs section.

How do I sign up for an account?

Sign up online or download the Mobile Wallet app from the Google Play Store and register a new account directly from your phone. Signing up is easy and only takes a few minutes and some basic personal information. No bank accounts. No credit checks. You're up and running.

Note that you must be at least 18 years of age to open a Mobile Wallet account or upgrade to Mobile Wallet Plus. Mobile Wallet Plus accounts require us to verify your account and social security information in order to protect you. See Terms and Conditions for more information.

Can I have more than one Mobile Wallet account?

We only allow one Mobile Wallet per customer. That way, you get the best experience possible without having to juggle multiple accounts. We like to keep things easy for you.

Can I have a Mobile Wallet account and still use a single-load Visa Prepaid card?

Yes you can, although the cash you load in your account and card are separate and cannot be merged.

Upgrade to Mobile Wallet Plus for free and receive a reloadable Visa Prepaid card that is personalized and automatically linked to your account. Your account and card share the same funds allowing you to use your cash for payments in the Mobile Wallet app, using the card anywhere Visa is accepted nationwide or for withdrawal at an ATM.

Can I link a bank account or credit card to my Mobile Wallet account?

No, not currently. Mobile Wallet is a completely prepaid product. Load it up with cash and start spending instantly. No banks. No credit cards. It’s all about the cash.

Section 2: Mobile Wallet App

Where can I get the Mobile Wallet app?

Mobile Wallet is available to download from the Google Play Store for Boost Mobile phones.

Which phones are supported by the Mobile Wallet app?

Boost Mobile phones running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and later. However, the mobile application’s Quick Check functionality is not available on the Boost Mobile Kyocera Hydro.

Section 3: Adding Funds

Where can I load my Mobile Wallet account?

Loading cash funds to your account is easy and convenient. Add funds at your nearest participating Boost Mobile Authorized Dealer or any of the thousands of Wipit Reload Locations located across the country. Find a location near you using the Mobile Wallet app on your phone.

Cash loads are $3 per load. Refunds to accounts cannot be issued in-store. See Terms and Conditions for more details.

Can I load funds to my Mobile Wallet account using a check?

Mobile Wallet Plus accounts can be loaded using Quick Check, a simple, safe and affordable alternative to check cashing stores. Quick Check allows you to load virtually any check type (up to $2,000) to your account usually within seconds.* Once approved, your funds are instantly available to you for use in the Mobile Wallet app, with your reloadable Visa Prepaid card, or at an ATM. Section 4: Direct Deposit

How do I set up Direct Deposit?

Setting up Direct Deposit for your Mobile Wallet Plus account is easy. You will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Direct deposit service requires a Mobile Wallet Plus account. If you’ve got a Mobile Wallet account, you’ll need to upgrade before you can setup direct deposit.
  2. Verify that your employer or payroll department offers direct deposit service. If they don’t, you will not be able to load your account using this service.
  3. Verify that your Mobile Wallet Plus account is active.
  4. Provide your Mobile Wallet Plus account and routing numbers to your payroll department. You will also need to decide how much of your paycheck you want to deposit per pay period: 100% of your check, a specific percentage of your check, or a specific dollar amount. Your employer may require you to complete additional forms.
  5. Verify that the direct deposit amount you have selected will not exceed your Mobile Wallet Plus maximum account balance limit.

How long will it take to set up direct deposit?

It typically can take between 1 to 2 pay periods before your paychecks will be deposited using direct deposit. Check with your payroll department for additional details.

Is there a fee to use direct deposit service?

There is no fee to load your Mobile Wallet Plus account using direct deposit.

How much can I load to my account using direct deposit?

You will need to decide how much of your paycheck you want to deposit per pay period: 100% of your check, a specific percentage of your check, or a specific dollar amount. Your selected direct deposit amount must not exceed your Mobile Wallet Plus maximum account balance limit.

How do I stop direct deposit service?

To stop direct deposit service, contact your payroll department and inform them that you wish to stop automatically depositing money to your Mobile Wallet Plus account. They will provide instructions about any additional required actions you may need to complete.

How can I verify the status of my direct deposit transaction?

Once the direct deposit service has been setup by your payroll department, you can view your deposit transactions online or in the Mobile Wallet app. From the mobile app home screen, click on “Recent Transactions.” Your direct deposit transactions will be labeled as “Bank Loads.”

Can I use direct deposit to deposit my tax refund to my Mobile Wallet Plus account?

Yes you can! Simply enter your Mobile Wallet Plus account number and routing number on your tax form. Please note that you cannot load anyone else’s tax refund to your account - the social security number listed on the tax refund must match the Mobile Wallet Plus account holder’s verified social security number.

Section 5: Bill Pay

Is there a limit on how many bills I can pay in a month?

No. You can pay an unlimited number of bills. Go ahead and knock ‘em out.

How long does it take for my bill payment to process?

We give you different options so you have more flexibility over your payments. Choose from Same Day, Next Day and 2-3 Day payment options, depending on what the biller accepts.

What is the maximum payment I can make on a bill?

You can pay up to $999 towards any single bill.

Does Bill Pay support recurring bill payments?

No, but stay tuned.

Are there any fees for using Bill Pay?

We only charge one fee for the payment option you select, but it’s small and affordable:

Section 6: Send Money with Ria

How does Send Money with Ria work?

Sending money is simple using the Mobile Wallet app. Search pickup locations quickly using the locator and confirm prices before having to commit to an order. To start a new order, select the destination country, the amount you're sending (up to $999 per transfer), the currency being delivered, and the location where the funds should be sent.

The app will walk you through some additional information you will need to provide about the recipient to ensure a safe pickup. You are able to review and authorize the order before it's final.

Once the order has been submitted, you'll receive an email receipt that contains a transaction PIN for you to provide to the recipient that permits them to pick-up the funds at the location you selected (usually within minutes). You can even check recent transfers anytime in the app so you always know the status of your orders.

How do I find a pickup location for my transfer?

Since your transfer is backed by Ria, you have access to send money to more than 170,000 pick-up locations around the world. Use the Mobile Wallet app to select a convenient location and see more detailed information, including current exchange rates and fees.

Is there a limit on how much I can send at one time?

Yes. You can send up to $999 for any single order. Additional limits may apply depending on your account type and available balance. For more information on limits, click here.

Are there any requirements to use Send Money with Ria?

You only need to verify some basic personal information in the Mobile Wallet app, such as your name and address. That's it. We don't even need your social security information to get going.

How much does it cost to send money?

Money transfer fees depend on many factors, including the country you are sending to and how much is being sent. Our fees are generally cheaper than anyone else and you can check prices before starting an order.

Section 7: Mobile Top-Up

How do I top-up my phone?

Instantly replenish your Boost Mobile phone directly from the Mobile Wallet app. Just tap the Mobile Top-Up option and tell the app how much you want to load. You can also top-up a friend or family member's wireless phone and choose from a wide variety of domestic and international carriers.

Can I top-up accounts in other countries?

You bet. You can top-up mobile phones on many of the top international carriers. Go ahead. Top-up a friend or family member in another country in just a few quick steps.

Are there any fees to top-up my mobile account?

Domestic top-ups are free (including PIN products). International top-up product prices vary. To check the price of a specific top-up product, click on the Mobile Top-Up button in the app and select the carrier and product you need.

Section 8: Wipit Account Transfers

How do I use Wipit Account Transfers?

Sending cash with a Wipit Account Transfer is easy using the Mobile Wallet app. Simply select a Mobile Wallet Plus account to transfer cash to. The app will ask you how much you want to transfer (up to $500 per transfer*) and to attach an optional note to the recipient.

You'll have a chance to review the transfer before it's final. Once you've approved the order, your recipient will be notified and able to accept or decline the transfer. If accepted, the funds are instantly available to them. For your convenience, you can view the status of recent account transfers in the Mobile Wallet app at any time.

* Sender and recipient may be limited to transfer amounts under the maximum by account load, spend and other account transfer limits.

Section 9: Quick Check

What is Quick Check?

Quick Check is a simple, safe and affordable alternative to check cashing stores, high fees, and long lines. Quick Check allows you to load virtually any check type (up to $2,000) to your account usually within seconds* using your Boost Mobile Android phone. Once approved, your funds are instantly available for use in the Mobile Wallet app, with your reloadable Visa Prepaid card, or at an ATM.

How does it work?

To use Quick Check, simply sign the back of the check you want to load to your Mobile Wallet Plus account. Click on the Quick Check button on the home screen, then enter the exact amount written on your check. Take a clear, well lit picture of the front of your check, and make sure all four check corners are inside the guides. If the picture is clear and meets these guidelines, click on the button marked with a check box. If not, click on the button marked with an X and re-take the photo. Once you have a clear picture of the front of your check, snap a photo of the back of your check, and confirm that it is clear, well lit, and your signature is visible. Once you have photographed the front and back of your check, review your order and authorize the check load transaction by entering your account password. Quick Check will submit your check for approval (usually within seconds*). You will receive a notification once your check is done processing. If approved, your check amount (less the $4 service fee) is instantly available to you and your account will be updated with your new balance.

When are my funds available to me, and how do I access them?

Unlike other services, Quick Check lets you load checks to your account and access approved funds instantly. You can use the funds however you prefer—to pay for financial services transactions in the Mobile Wallet app, to pay for purchases with your reloadable Visa Prepaid card, or to withdraw at an ATM for easy cash access.

Are there any fees to use Quick Check?

Quick Check costs $4 per transaction. This flat fee applies to all accepted check types, for up to $2,000.*

What kind of checks can I load using Quick Check?

You can load the following check types:*

What type of checks will be declined for approval?

Quick Check transactions may be declined for a number of different reasons, including: non-printed checks, checks made out to someone other than the you, checks that have been already cashed or deposited, checks payable in a foreign currency, and checks drawn on banks outside of the United States and Canada.*

What is the maximum amount I can load using Quick Check?

You can load checks of up to $2,000 to your Mobile Wallet Plus account. Your check load may not be approved if the check amount will cause your account balance to exceed the max account balance limit of $2,500 or any other account limits. Who processes Quick Check transactions?

Quick Check uses Certegy, an industry leader in check processing to process check load transactions and issue approval or decline decisions. You can learn more about Certegy by visiting www.askcertegy.com.

What should I do with my check once I’ve loaded it to my account?

Quick Check provides fast approval decisions on check loads, so you’ll usually know in seconds* if your check has been approved. As an extra safety precaution, you should keep all checks for 10 days after you have submitted your Quick Check load transaction.

How do I check the status of my check once I’ve submitted it?

You’ll usually receive notification of your Quick Check approval or decline within seconds*, but you can also check your submitted check status in the Mobile Wallet app. Simply log in, and click on the Recent Transactions button on the Home screen. Quick Check transactions which are still being reviewed will be marked as “Pending” in your recent transaction list.

Will Quick Check work on my phone?

Quick Check is currently available on all Boost Mobile phones running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and later except the Kyocera Hydro.

How long should it take to approve my submitted check?

Most checks are approved or declined within 30 seconds but can take up to 30 minutes in some cases. In no case should your check take more than 30 minutes to process. If your check has not been approved or declined 30 minutes after you submitted it, please call Wipit Customer Care at (888) 973-9080.

Mobile Wallet accounts make using cash easier than ever. But sometimes a card is all you need. The single-load Visa Prepaid card has you covered, giving you the plastic without the account.



Purchase a card at participating Boost Mobile Authorized Dealers for just $5, plus the amount you choose to load to the card, up to $500. No bank accounts or identity verification. No monthly fees or purchase fees. Once activated, it's ready to go. Use and discard after you've spent the funds.

Can I reload my single-load Visa Prepaid card?

The single-load Visa Prepaid card is not reloadable. Upgrade to a Mobile Wallet Plus account for free and you get a reloadable Visa Prepaid card that is personalized and automatically linked to your Mobile Wallet Plus account.

Where can I buy a single-load Visa Prepaid card?

The single-load Visa Prepaid card is available at participating Boost Mobile Authorized Dealers nationwide.

How much does it cost to buy a single-load Visa Prepaid card?

It’s $5 plus the amount of cash you load to the card. For example, a new card loaded with $25 comes out to $30.

How do I register my single-load Visa Prepaid card to use online or over the phone?

Register your card instantly online. All it takes is your card and some basic information. Done. Now you can use your prepaid card for online and phone purchases using the information you registered.

What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?

We’ll send you a check for the remaining card balance, as long as the card was registered online. Call Wipit Customer Care at (888) 973-9080 and we’ll get your check to you in 2-3 weeks to the address on file.

What should I do if my card expires or breaks?

Expired or damaged Visa Prepaid cards cannot be replaced.

Section 11: Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card
(with Mobile Wallet Plus)

How do I activate my card?

Your card will arrive with a sticker on the front that includes a phone number. Call (888) 973-9088 to register your card and create a PIN.

Can I use my card to get cash at an ATM?

Get cash from any ATM that accepts Visa. Since there are literally thousands of them all over the country, chances are there's one right by you.

And the fees for getting cash are crazy low: just $2 for any withdrawal from an ATM in the MoneyPass network. We'll even give you the first in-network ATM withdrawal of each month free. Checking your balance and transaction declines are just $0.50 each. Search from over 23,000 MoneyPass network ATMs here.

All other ATM withdrawals still cost just $2 and only $0.50 to check your balance. An additional surcharge from the ATM may apply for withdrawals outside the MoneyPass network.

Why is the amount I was charged different than what shows up in my account?

It's common for businesses to submit a pending amount for a purchase that is higher than what you actually spent. It's all good. It will correct itself within three business days after you have authorized the purchase.  If you have a question about an incorrect transaction paid with a reloadable Visa Prepaid card, call (888) 973-9082 for help.

What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?

Call Card Services at (888) 973-9088 immediately to put a hold on your account and order a replacement. We’ll get you a new card in no time and prevent others from using the old one.

What should I do if my card expires?

Call Card Services at (888) 973-9088 and we’ll get you a new one.

How long does it take to get my new card in the mail?

Your card should arrive in the mail within 7-10 days.

How is my prepaid card any different than a gift card or credit card?

It’s totally different. The ability to reload your card means you can use it over and over (unlike a gift card) and that you manage your own funds (unlike credit cards). In other words, you get all the perks plus additional control of your own money. Score.

Will using the card negatively affect my credit?

No way. In fact, it’s completely prepaid so it will never touch your credit or your credit score.

How do I reset my ATM PIN?

Call our Card Services team at (888) 973-9088 and we’ll hook you up with a new one. No hassle.

Can I use my card outside of the United States?

Your Mobile Wallet Plus Visa Prepaid card can be used anywhere that Visa is accepted, except for the following countries:

Do I need to do anything before using the card internationally?

Your card is ready to use internationally the moment it is activated. Note that cash can only be loaded in the United States, so make sure to load your account before you leave the country.

Does it cost anything to use my card internationally?

We charge a 3% surcharge fee of your transaction total.

Can I use my card at ATMs in approved countries?

Your card can be used to make purchases and payments anywhere Visa is accepted in any approved country. It cannot be used to withdraw cash or to check account balance at any international ATM, or to receive cash back at a merchant location.

Section 12: Managing Your Account

How can I file a dispute I have with my account?

If you notice a problem with your account, let us know right away and we'll help you out. Call Wipit Customer Care at (888) 973-9080 and we'll personally help you out with the problem.

How do I update and manage my account information?

You can update your account information such as your address and phone number anytime through the Mobile Wallet app or the website.

What should I do if my account has been compromised?

Call Wipit Customer Care at (888) 973-9080 to report any potential fraud.

What are pending transactions?

Any transaction that is labeled “pending” means it has been submitted but is waiting to be fully completed. You will see these in your transaction history and they will be reflected in your available balance. Transactions will update from pending to complete once they have been fully processed. Now you know exactly how much money is in your account, even when a transaction is still processing.

Why is my pending transaction amount different than what I spent?

Merchants often require us to place a hold on an account for an amount that is larger than what was spent. It’s common practice to confirm that the account has funds for the transaction. Sometimes, they may just charge $1 to the account just to be sure that it is valid. These pending transaction differences are normal and will clear and be replaced with the correct amount within three business days. Some merchants, including hotels, car rentals and restaurants may charge up to 20% more than the transaction total to cover gratuity.

Are the funds in my Mobile Wallet account FDIC insured?

Funds in the Mobile Wallet Plus Account are held in Sutton Bank accounts and are FDIC insured. Funds in the Mobile Wallet Account are not FDIC insured.

It only takes a phone call to Wipit Customer Care at (888) 973-9080. Give us a ring and we'll walk you through the process. We'll cut you a check for the remaining account balance within two weeks.

Is Wipit a bank?

No, we're definitely not a bank. While we make it easier and more convenient to spend your cash, we never hold it for you. Instead, Mobile Wallet accounts are issued by Ria Financial Services and Mobile Wallet Plus accounts are issued by Sutton Bank, meaning your money is both safe and secure at all times.
